The system has two main parts on a single pole. The first is a slim, rectangular LED luminaire in a grey finish, with a flat panel of LED chips behind a protective lens. It directs a bright, wide beam of light down onto the area below. The second is a large solar panel with a silver frame and dark blue cells, mounted at the top of the pole where it can collect the most sunlight. The panel is angled to face the sun, and it keeps the system charged day after day.
The luminaire is mounted on a short side arm, and it can be tilted and aimed where the light is needed. The system is designed for outdoor use, and the separate panel design means the panel can be placed and angled for the best sunlight, even when the light itself is aimed elsewhere.
Because the light runs on solar power, there are no electricity bills, and installation is simpler and cheaper, with no trenching or wiring to the grid.
